If you closed your company page and wish to reactivate it on LinkedIn, follow these steps to make sure your account is activate correctly

Jul 19, 2019

If your LinkedIn page was deactivated, there is potential to recover it. Follow these steps to reactivate your LinkedIn Company Page:

  1. First, confirm that the page has been deactivated. Note that to successfully deactivate a LinkedIn page, the person who deleted it would have had to have been an admin for the page. As well, the page would have not been able to have any active Showcase pages, have a career page, have more than 100 affiliated employees, or have active campaigns to successfully be deactivated.

    1. An admin could have rebranded the Company Page to a new name. Ensure this has not happened, as then you will simply have to change the name back.
  2. To recover a LinkedIn Company Page you will need to be the admin on the page, or at the very least have a matching company email as the admin who deleted the account, in order to get help from LinkedIn's Customer Support team. Company pages are attached to personal LinkedIn accounts so the Company Page will need to be transferred to your account if it previously belonged to another admin user.

  3. You will need to access LinkedIn Customer Support. Go to: https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/solve

    1. If you are not already logged in to your LinkedIn account, you will be asked to sign in with your email address and password.

  4. Select 'Get Help From Us.'

  5. In the search box, type in 'I need to reactivate a deleted company page.'

  6. Many suggested answers will come up that are not quite right. Select the 'Next' button at the bottom of the screen.

  7. A form will appear that you need to fill out. You will need to provide an alternative email to the email used on your account. This ensures LinkedIn has a way to contact you in the event that the email they have on file bounces back or is incorrect.

  8. For Issue Type, select 'Company Pages' under the drop-down selections.

  9. For In Which App or Site, select 'LinkedIn (Website).'

  10. For On What Device, select 'Not device specific.'

  11. In the Your Question text box provide as many details as possible. It would be best to say the name of the previous admin on the Company Page and link to their LinkedIn account. Provide the name of your Company Page and the previous URL if you have it. Explain why the Company Page was deleted, when it was deleted, and what you would like to achieve (full reactivation of the page).

  12. Click 'Submit.'

  13. You will receive an automated email with a case number in your inbox confirming that LinkedIn has received your inquiry and will get back to you as soon as possible. This can take several business days.

  14. A LinkedIn Customer Service Representative will be able to confirm if they can reactivate your Company Page and any additional steps they will need from you.

  15. There is a possibility you will not be able to recover your Company Page. If this is the case, you can work with the LinkedIn Customer Service Representative to create a new page with the same name as before. You will not be able to create the same page as before without their assistance as LinkedIn does not allow Company Page names to be reused after they have been taken down.
