To begin, log in to your Bank of America online banking account. From there, you'll be able to report your card lost or stolen, as well as dispute any charges that have been placed against your account without your permission.

If you know that there has been a fraudulent charge made on your account, follow these simple steps to dispute the charge so that Bank of America can reverse the charge and refund your money.

Step One: Find the fraudulent charges to dispute by clicking your recent transaction history. Scroll through your charges to find any that you don't recognize, and select them.

Step Two: Once you've loaded the unfamiliar charge, you can click the blue "Dispute this transaction" link under the transaction information.

Step Three: Follow the steps to input all the information needed to dispute the charge, making sure to enter any information that you may have about where the charge came from.

Step Four: Submit the charge dispute. A banker will review the information and contact you when an action has been taken to settle the dispute.

If your credit or debit card has been lost or stolen, follow these steps to cancel it and request a new one.

Step One: Log in to your Bank of America online account, and click the Account & Card Security tab at the top of the screen.

Step Two: Select the account/card that has been compromised, and follow the website prompts to cancel your card. From here, you'll be asked to order a replacement card.

If you want a replacement card immediately, you can choose to go into the Bank of America nearest you and speak with a banker who can help you cancel the compromised card and issue you a temporary card to use while you wait for your new card in the mail. The banker will also be able to provide you with advice on securing your account.

You can go into a local Bank of America location to request a new card, but disputes will have to be filed online, a phone representative can walk you through the process.
